Bubble Rush 2023 — You Can’t Burst My … 🫧

On Sundays, we wear pink. (That’s a Mean Girls reference; you either get it or you don’t). To put it another way, today, we bubbled. Specifically, we walked/ran/danced/skipped the 5K Bubble Rush at Walsall Arboretum, and some of those bubbles were pink. Curious? Jump on in!

Bubble Rush is a trademarked fun run event that takes place all over the UK from April to October, each one raising funds to support a local charity (in this case, Acorns). Decked out with 4 bubble stations (5 if you count the white starting foam), fun-seekers bubble their way through coloured seas of candy pink, banana yellow, lime green, and baby blue. If you do decide to run, doing it through a 4-foot deep bubble bath pumped out by canons isn’t exactly laborious! Wouldn’t you agree?

What else was included today? A stage with sassy MC and pumping music that urges one to bust some moves, merchandise stalls, food and coffee stands, and a glowy, family-fun vibe. Oh, and a white Bubble Rush Tee to do the 5K in; the most perfect canvas to absorb and showcase all the food dye used to colour the bubbles! You’re customising your tee every time you float through those crazy bubble stations.

My crazy J 😂

It was truly warming (and not just when the bubbles heated up) to see families having so much fun together and Acorns raising money to continue their wonderful work for kids. Bubble Rush is particularly exciting for little ones, and pushchairs/wheelchairs are welcomed here.

And to finish — in our frothy wet, sticky, multicoloured, state — a vibrant medal to hang in our memories (and maybe somewhere at home). Also, food. I was foamished 😂
